Who doesn't love to save a few bucks? I know I love a deal! And when it comes to activewear, I'm all about balancing the splurge-y items and the more affordable options. While I love my $100 leggings because they fit me just right and make me feel good during workouts, I equally love the ones in my closet that cost less than $50 because they're trusty and get the job done. Since I work out five to six days a week (and don't do laundry every day, or even every week sometimes), I need to have quite a few pairs of leggings in rotation, and let's just say that my budget doesn't really allow me to have my whole wardrobe consist of pricey activewear. So it really helps my wallet to mix and match.

If you're looking for some options that are more on the affordable side, I polled my colleagues, did some research, and thought about my favorite pieces to compile a list of brands you'll want to check out. No piece here is over $60, and most are under $40. Take a look below. Happy shopping!

1. Old Navy

I would say about 40% of the leggings I own are from Old Navy. I just love the brand's activewear because it's all reasonably priced and they're performance pieces that really provide support and coverage during even the toughest workouts. Plus, the cool thing about Old Navy is that it always has an amazing sale going on so you can get your activewear pieces even cheaper.

2. Fabletics

Co-founded by Kate Hudson, Fabletics has the trendiest pieces, and its inventory is always updating—there are new styles every month. The pieces are high-quality. And if you become a VIP member, your first outfit is just $25.

3. Core 10

Core 10 is one of Amazon's in-house brands that specialize in activewear. The pieces are comfortable and so easy to move in. You'll love that there's so much variety in the collection. Core 10 has everything from the basics to options with trendy prints and cuts.

4. Aerie

If you haven't tried Aerie's underwear and bras, you're really missing out. Basically, everything in my underwear drawer is from the brand. But Aerie also has some standout activewear, too. The fabrics are supportive and comfortable, plus the colors and prints are fun.

5. H&M

H&M is already a popular retailer that always has a great selection of affordable and stylish pieces (and we're always obsessed with the designer collabs), so don't sleep on its activewear section. There are some seriously amazing deals to be found there.

6. ASOS

It's no surprise that ASOS also has a big selection of activewear. The retailer has its own brand with leggings, sports bras, and other performance pieces, but you can also find notable labels like Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Under Armour on the site.

7. Champion

Champion is a total classic, and I'd like to bet that the person who is reading this right now has probably owned something from the brand at least once in their life. Every piece is so dang comfortable—you know whatever you get from Champion will be a go-to in your workout wardrobe.

8. Zella

Nordstrom's in-house activewear brand, Zella, is always a hit with our readers and editors. Pretty much everyone is obsessed with the brand's Live-In leggings, me included. This is another line that has so much variety and pieces that you'll keep forever.

9. Amazon Essentials

Another in-house brand, Amazon Essentials has everything you need to dress the whole family, but it also has a noteworthy activewear selection that you'll want to check out. The pieces are not as trendy as the Core 10 line, but that doesn't mean they're not as good. You've just got everything you need here to build your basic workout wardrobe, from leggings to sports bras to tops.
