I know I'm not the only one who finds it very hard to work out when it's cold outside. And I'm not talking about doing a run in the park—it can be hard to get of bed and in your workout gear to head to an indoor studio class or gym. And even now when most of my sweat sessions are at home, it's still hard for me to find that motivation to leave my comfy and warm bed, or my cozy spot on the couch. Does anyone feel the same way?
If you're finding that the motivation doesn't come easily these days, or that you're feeling so uncomfortable during outdoor workouts because you're freezing your butt off, it might be time to invest in the best cold-weather workout clothes. A new piece of activewear always gives me a burst of excitement for my workouts because I want to test it out and show it off. Plus, something warm and cozy will make the cold weather so much more bearable.
To help you shop for the wintry season, take a look at some of our favorite picks below.
Leave it to running gear company Brooks to design some great winter leggings perfect for your next run. It features a thermal fabric that both insulates and wicks moisture. And there are side drop-in pockets and a back waist pocket so you can stash the essentials.
Designed for running, Lululemon's jacket is made of waterproof and windproof fabric. It will shield you from the cold with a fleece backing, and it's also easy to work out in thanks to four-way stretch. Other convenient features include a cinchable hood, 360-degree reflectivity, multiple zippered pockets, and thumbholes.
