We already know that the benefits of taking your workout outside abound: From reducing inflammation to significantly boosting your mood, getting fresh air is a wellness ritual unto itself. But how about throwing a great view into the mix as well?

Some fitness studios in major cities across the U.S. are quite literally elevating their class offerings with workouts that take place on rooftops so that you can break a sweat underneath a gorgeous skyline. And now that it's finally warming up outside, these studios are the perfect opportunity to take your workouts outdoors. We're counting down some of the top rooftop workouts by city below.

Los Angeles: Alo Yoga

L.A.-based fans of Alo's ultra-flattering activewear designs, take note: The brand's gorgeous flagship store in Beverly Hills boasts an airy yoga studio that opens up to a rooftop patio. Hour-long classes are offered on a daily (and sometimes twice-daily) basis, and membership passes are available.

Chicago: Shred415

While you're better off avoiding rooftops in the Windy City until the mercury rises again, in 2018, keep an eye out for Shred415's annual summer class series. The HIIT destination typically teams up with a local hotel for boot camp–style classes with sweeping views.

New York: YoYoga

Self-described as a "very non-New York yoga studio that just happens to be located in New York," YoYoga opts for a low-key, judgment-free environment over any pretensions or gymtimidation. Those good vibes are only amped by the studio's cozy rooftop deck, tucked away in a peaceful pocket of the Upper East Side.

Miami: Anatomy at 1220

This popular fitness club is basically a playground for the wellness-obsessed, boasting everything from thermotherapy and vitamin drips to nutrition experts and even an in-house salon. But the pièce de résistance is 1220's outdoor space, where you can sweat through your plyo class underneath the swaying palm trees.

The rooftop plaza at Whole Foods' flagship store is the perfect space for a crowd-sized yoga class—which is why the company often teams up with local studios to host free classes. Check the store's Facebook page for updates on upcoming events.

Work on your serve while surrounded by the San Francisco skyline, or opt for a vinyasa flow instead. The Bay Club might be best known for its impressive tennis facilities—including 12 rooftop courts—but it also offers yoga and strength-training classes as well. (And you can even snag a post-sweat cocktail without ever leaving the campus.)
