This is Doing Well, a series where we'll get a peek into the wellness routines of our favorite celebrities, athletes, social media personalities, entrepreneurs, and more. Think of it as a Proust Questionnaire—wellness style. Below, see what they have to say about their favorite workouts, self-care rituals, wellness goals, affirmations or mottos, and more. Maybe you'll find some inspiration for your own routine.

Of course, you know Ellen Pompeo from her iconic role as Meredith Grey on Grey's Anatomy—a role she has portrayed for 18 seasons. The show has a huge and loyal fan base, and it's been a groundbreaking series in so many ways. Grey's is coming back for its 19th season this fall and is still the longest-running medical drama on television. (It beat ER's record in 2019.) "I have been given the opportunity to use my talent to tell stories that bring people together and inspire people to go into a career in medicine. It has been a pretty meaningful journey," Pompeo says of her time on the show.

But she's so much more than her role on Grey's. Pompeo is also an activist, producer, podcast host, and brand ambassador for Cindy Crawford's skincare line, Meaningful Beauty. Add to all of that she's a mother of three, and she's definitely got a full plate. Nothing's stopping her, though. When asked about what kind of future projects she's looking for and what her passions were, she said at the moment, she's very interested in the future of the healthcare-and-wellness space. We can't wait to see what's next for her there—we're a wellness site, after all!

We got the chance to share our wellness questionnaire with Pompeo—and because she's a skincare ambassador, we had to sneak in some more beauty questions, too. Take a look at what she had to say below.

Something that always puts me in a good mood: Music.

My favorite feel-good Instagram account to follow: Martha Stewart.

My must-have beauty/self-care products are: The Meaningful Beauty Youth Activating Smoothing and Refreshing Eye Serum.

How my beauty and skincare routine has changed throughout the years: When I was younger, I needed a lot of pore-cleaning and extraction facials. Now I do more to improve and keep my skin texture even: microcurrent and micro-needling.

The best beauty advice I've ever heard: I truly do believe and tell my children that real beauty starts on the inside with an attitude of love and kindness.

My favorite self-care ritual is: It always changes! Right now, it is cryotherapy followed by an infrared sauna.

The one thing I do to wind down is: Take a bath or yoga.

How I relax after a day on set: I lie on my hot mat. The heat really relaxes my muscles.

My ideal chill at-home 'fit is: I love chic pajamas. I can put them on at 5 o'clock and still feel dressed up!

My favorite thing about myself is: My emotional growth.

The one wellness goal I want to accomplish this year: Getting stronger. I do a lot of walking and stretching but not enough strength training.

An affirmation/motto I live by: Never a mistake, always a lesson.
