It has been 16 years since Laguna Beach first graced our TV screens, but to this day, its iconic opening sequence set to Hilary Duff’s anthemic "Come Clean" still lives rent-free in my mind. For Lo Bosworth, one of the show’s original cast members, chasing fame after Laguna Beach—and later The Hills—ended was never in the cards. Instead, she chose to focus her time on exploring and pursuing her passion for wellness.

Since 2016, Bosworth has been in the process of building a wellness empire. Her company, Love Wellness, provides an approachable and scientifically backed range of supplements, multivitamins, and personal care products made with clean ingredients for women.

Unsurprisingly, this attitude toward wellness also plays an important role in Bosworth's personal life and routine. Keep reading to see how her grounding morning rituals set her up for a busy workday.

I like to wake up naturally without an alarm, which I realize sounds a bit daunting, but it totally works for me. I’m naturally an early riser, so I’m usually up around 7 a.m. but will stay in bed until about 7:30 a.m. I live in New York City, so when the weather's nice, I love to open up the windows and let natural light in.

After getting out of bed, I head to the kitchen to make a cup of pour-over decaf coffee with my Chemex. Caffeine makes me jittery, but I love the taste of coffee and the ritual of making it each morning. I usually try to do intermittent fasting during the week, so my first meal isn’t until around lunchtime.

In 2016, I started a women’s wellness company called Love Wellness. We make personal care products with good-for-you ingredients, and our line ranges from multivitamins (we just released our first one, Daily Love!) to supplements and feminine care products.

While my coffee brews, I take my Love Wellness multivitamins and supplementsnamely Daily Love, Good Girl Probiotics, and Perfect Condition Vitamin. These are my go-tos, and I can’t live without them.

I really try not to rush in the morning. After I have my coffee and have answered a few emails, I love to either meditate with Headspace or go for a walk around my neighborhood (mask on, of course!). Both meditation and walking are such grounding practices and can make such a big difference for my day.

9 A.M.

The Class by Taryn Toomey has been my go-to workout over the last few months. I tune in to the 9 a.m. class almost every day. It totally has reshaped my workout routine and my overall mindset when it comes to working out.

The class pushes you mentally and physically but is almost like a moving meditation. It’s such a great physical workout but also is completely groundingthe first time I tried it, I cried! If you haven’t tried it, I would highly recommend it.

9:45 A.M.

Post-workout, I love a morning bath. I take a bath almost every day to unwind or relax. It’s great for my muscles (especially when I sprinkle Epsom salt in my bath!) and great to just take a step back for a moment.

After my bath, I’ll do my skincare and bodycare routines. When it comes to skincare, I fully subscribe to the philosophy that less is more. Dr. Devgan’s Hyaluronic Serum and Shiseido’s eye cream are my morning must-haves for my face, and Nécessaire's Body Serum is so hydrating for all over.

I hop on a morning Zoom check-in with my team at Love Wellness. We’ve all been working from home since March, so I look forward to seeing everyone’s faces each morning, even if it’s just virtually!
