7 Trendy Items Everyone in London is Wearing Right Now

Although we often report on what women are wearing in stylish destinations like NYC and Paris, we can hardly forget another fashion hotspot: London. After all, we it is home to Who What Wear's very own UK branch. And seeing as Londoners have a lot to celebrate right now between spring weather and the long-awaited end to lockdown, we thought it was the perfect time to take a virtual trip across the pond and see see what our fashion friends abroad are wearing these days.

I did some thorough research to discover the most-spotted items this month (i.e., I perused the latest from our Who What Wear UK team and scrolled through my favorite London fashion feeds) to see which pieces were the most popular in London. It quickly became clear that there are some springtime hits you're bound to see on any London city block or Underground station. In fact, you might already own some of them. Keep scrolling to see the seven items we're seeing all over London.

1. Bridgerton Frocks

Reformation's printed dresses have been a phenomenal hit this season, especially the styles that look like they could have been plucked straight out of a period drama, with details like puff sleeves, sweetheart necklines, and bowties.

2. Vintage-Inspired Cardigans

Cardigans have become a London girl's uniform. Fast fashion and designer labels are all stocking vintage-inspired versions with charming embroidery and crochet detailing that we can only categorize as "grandma-chic".

3. Tan Trench Coat

When it comes to layering, classic tan, double-breasted trench coats have been taking over.

Every London girl knows that a great blazer is essential to a chic wardrobe. This spring, add a polished feel with a pinstriped jacket.

5. Prairie Collars

We can't stop seeing oversize collars on the streets of London. We all remember the costume design in Little House on the Prairie, right? Well, they're like this but chicer.

6. Cushy Flip-Flops

Platform thong sandals have burst onto the fashion scene en masse this spring, but we can't stop seeing them more than ever in our London friends' feeds. Whether styled with a pretty sundress or a classic pair of jeans (as seen above), we predict they'll be the London girl's go-to sandals for the season.

7. Tangerine Frocks

Tangerine is a runway trend we didn't think many people would adopt this year. However, every day, I see someone else sporting the tangy hue. They're especially a favorite in any one of spring's freshest frocks, which tells me that come summer, a tangerine dress may become a must-have.

Up next, see the 26 things I've worn nonstop since moving to NYC.
