Though it sounds oxymoronic, we often turn to music to help silence the noise. Whether we need to hit the ground running at work, need a slow, mellow accompaniment to our morning tea, or just need an unbiased friend to take with us through our emotions—the cathartic effect of music never misses a beat. In fact, it’s been scientifically proven to help improve our mood.
And while we have a long, running list of coping mechanisms for when life starts to get sticky, an up-lifting playlist is a constant, something we can enjoy and breathe into during both the best and worst days.
