We Shopped a Lot in March, But These Are the 25 Best Things We Bought

There's something about the month of March that makes us want to shop even more than we already do. We've officially entered a new season, summer is finally on the horizon, and with it comes droves of fresh inspiration and new ideas for what to wear and how to wear it. Warmer days are just starting to arrive in NYC, where many of our editors are based, so we're transitioning from our cold-weather to warm-weather wardrobes. All of this makes for the perfect storm of shopping, and our editors' order history can attest to it.

Among our editorial team, we've collectively reviewed thousands of spring's new arrivals and have inevitably purchased a handful of the very best ones. Today, we're pulling the receipts and showing you what we've personally added to our closets this month along with some inspirational outfit photos to show how we're styling our new-to-us picks. There's no doubt our editors are a stylish bunch. (I look to their Instagrams for my own style ideas.) So when I tell you these new buys are it, I think you'll agree.

Keep scrolling for the new fashion favorites we added to our closets in March—from the blazer that Sierra is convincing us on to the new Freja It bag I'm a fan of and Kat's on-trend $50 shoe find. These are the season's top-notch picks, according to us.

"Despite owning an inordinate number of sweaters, I never had a classic cable-knit sweater until this beauty came into my life. It's the kind of classic sweater that I know I'll have for many seasons to come, and the cropped silhouette is especially flattering on my shorter frame."

"Relaxed fashion-week outfits for the win! I wore this outfit at Paris Fashion Week and felt comfortable all day. Everyone always thinks these ballet flats are more expensive than they are. I've been asked if they're from the Parisian brand Repetto many times. Plus, any scuffs on the patent come off super easily with a little nail polish remover."

"Donni is quickly becoming the brand for basics that are as comfortable as pajamas but look significantly more polished. These pants are nearly sold out in every color, but I would watch for restocks. The elastic waist and flowy silhouette make them an easy choice, and the satin material elevates the overall effect."

"I know several editors at Who What Wear and Vogue who all love these earrings. They are surprisingly great quality for only $30. With silver feeling like the cooler choice over gold these days, they're truly a no-brainer."

"I've been looking to upgrade my everyday outfits a bit, and these two pieces did just that. Aside from wearing them together, I've been using both to create countless outfits separately too. I love how comfy but flattering the cardigan is, and when it comes to the mules, they had me at brown suede kitten heels."

Anna LaPlaca, Senior Editor

"I own upward of 30 pairs of jeans, and I still haven't been this obsessed with a single pair in a long time. The Carla jeans mark Alex Mill's foray into denim, and they nailed it if I do say so myself. The jeans are a rigid denim style that mimics the feel of genuine vintage with elements like a button fly, slim-straight fit, and full-length hem. I just got them last month and haven't reached for any other pair since."

"I have plenty of editor friends who adore Freja's east-west shoulder bags, so I knew I needed to get my hands on one, too, but nothing could have prepared me for how beautiful the bags are IRL. The quality of the leather and all the little details make it truly something special."

"If there's one thing I'd recommend everyone buy from Zara right now, it would have to be these low-heel glove shoes. They come in a soft leather that I think looks quite premium. They're also comfortable to wear right out of the box and don't need to be broken in."

Sierra Mayhew, Associate Editor

"I love a good suit more than anything, as it takes the guesswork out of getting dressed. This one from Paige felt like the perfect outfit to transition into spring. I am loving terra-cotta right now, and the gold detailing is quite chic."

"Although, I've been wearing slingback pumps for years, I've grown an interest in the classic pumps that feel utterly timeless. I feel like they make an otherwise casual outfit feel elevated immediately, and the price point on this pair is incredible."

"I'm always on the hunt for a statement-making jewelry piece, and when I wear this necklace, I feel like my outfit is complete. It has a kitschy and colorful design, and I love how each letter feels different. I'm already thinking ahead about gifting it for Mother's Day."

"Leave it to Reformation to make the perfect going-out top. It's simple but has a bit of that date-night vibe thanks to the off-the-shoulder neckline."

"I've been trying to elevate my belt collection, and this one is that perfect combo of wearable and trendy. I've received so many compliments on it since purchasing a few weeks ago."

"I bought these $35 mini hoops in both gold and silver and have barely taken them off since. Pro tip: Wear these side-by-side if you have two ear piercings next to each other."

"Anyone who knows me well is aware that I live in some form of statement outwear 90% of the time. When I saw this python-print trench coat from Apparis, I knew I had to have it. What I love about this coat is that the faux leather is lightweight, making it perfect for transitional spring weather. Plus, with animal prints trending, it's the ideal item to buy to spice up staples for the season."

"I finally caved into buying the mesh-flats trend that's been making the rounds since last spring, and I'm honestly mad at myself for taking so long to catch on. I'm so obsessed with these flats from Steve Madden because they're incredibly comfortable and chic. They're the perfect affordable alternative to the pricey designer versions we've seen all over social media."

"I had been searching for a minimal shoulder bag without hardware for months but couldn't land on what to buy until I found this '90s-inspired bag from Freja. I kid you not—I've worn it nonstop since I got it. It's not only incredibly practical for running around the city but also well-made for the price point. I constantly get compliments on it, so it basically pays for itself. I'm so happy I spent the time to search for the perfect shoulder bag because this one lives up to all my expectations and then some."

"Whenever a buzzy new bag or trending colorway emerges, I like to test the waters first with a more affordable option to see how it fits into my wardrobe. This $98 butter-yellow bag has passed the test and will be in my weekly rotation from here on out."

"Consider this a Courtney Grow–influenced purchase. I've already worn it with striped pajama-esque pants, blue jeans, and a miniskirt. I give it a 10/10 for style and versatility."

"Lightweight-jacket season is in full effect, and this style might be my new favorite. It is reminiscent of the Prada canvas jacket but at a much more attainable price."

Chinazor Offor, Associate Shopping Editor

"I've been experimenting a lot with my style over the last couple of years. One thing I learned about myself on this journey is my love of edgy, alternative-looking accessories. When I stumbled upon this Poppy Lissiman bag, I immediately fell in love. I love wearing it with outfits that have a different energy. I've worn it with a striped button-down, jeans, and vibrant sneakers."

"I owe a huge shout-out to my stylish co-worker Nat for putting me on to this dress. It's honestly the perfect dress for work. It's effortlessly chic and professional and is actually so comfortable. I first got it in black and then recently bought it in white. At only $72, it's a total steal."

"I already have these shorts in white, but when I saw them in this beautiful peony pink, I had to get them. They're so flowy and pretty and feel very balletcore."

"This is the most flattering tank top you'll ever wear. Enough said."
