As the weather starts to reach winter temperatures, it's an ongoing battle to refrain from donning all black 24/7. (I'm mourning the warmer days, okay?) But being a fashion editor, I'm willing to push past that and am already preparing myself to bring out all the colors that I saw on the F/W 20 runways to my outfit rotation this season, and luckily for you, I'll be sharing my research. Today, we’re taking a deep dive into the trending colors that will be everywhere this winter.

The runways of this year's first fashion month have spoken, and there are a plethora of colors to add onto your radar right now. Whether you lean towards neutrals or like to pack a punch with the colors with your outfits, there's a palette here for you. Designers brought out everything from chocolate brown to vibrant purples, and every shade of green in between. Read ahead if you're willing to stay ahead of the trend curve.

Brown may have its history of being an "ugly" color, but 2020 has pushed the shade up in its hierarchy as the well-loved neutral of the season.

The forecast will always be bright when you're wearing this happy hue. Whether you make it the main focus of your look or jazz up an outfit with yellow accessories, it'll be a favorite pick for many.

Coming in hot is this fiery shade of red that is a vibrant switch from the deep wines we've been seeing this past fall.

Despite the brighter hues in this mix, you can never go wrong with a touch of neutrals in your outfit rotation. Whether you're pairing it with chocolate brown or a pop of color, this "boring" color is here to stay.

Every season a new shade of green has been making its way onto the scene, but this time, the limit simply does not exist. From sage to olive and neons, there isn't a type of green that won't work in your favor.

Pink was not only a popular shade in the F/W 20 collections, but it also popped up fairly often in the S/S 21 collections, so you know it's staying for a while. There's a shade for everyone amongst designers' showings, whether you lean toward a Y2K-inspired pop or a more pastel hue.
